Liberty Bell and Independence Hall

Crossing things off our PA list with a visit to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Our list is super long, with a million different things to do and see while living in PA.  I was glad we finally got up the gusto to go into Philly and see these two things.

Is any trip really complete without a yoga pose?

My little Chef

Nana, Isaac's Great Grandmother, made him with cute Elmo apron, complete with a tag that reads "homemade with love from nana".  This is a gift that is priceless and precious, something I'll cherish long after Isaac can fit into it.

Thanks Nanny! We love you and can't wait to start cooking!

Sabrina's Cafe and The Italian Market

My Mom is such a do-er, and has always encouraged me to get up and take on the day! So, when she comes to visit, it's no surprise that we try something new and visit places that have been on my list of weeks.  This time, it was breakfast at Sabrina's (recommended by my sister) and a walk down The Italian Market.

Breakfast was AMAZING!! All the specials were named after Olympians, which was cute and catchy.  And oh, so yummy.  They gave you enough food to carry you over until dinner, if need be.  This little guy sat still most of the time. Thankfully, when foods involved he's usually pretty good!

We decided to burn off breakfast with a walk through The Italian Market. I must say, it was cute and cozy, but being Sunday morning and the fresh markets out, the smell wasn't the best.  our walk didn't last long, but I got a few good shots in, so it was worth it!

No stroller for this kiddo, he's all about walking, ALL THE TIME!

Workouts

I try to get a workout in every morning, sometimes a run without Isaac or a run with him, or sometimes a good ol' DVD.  I happen to swear by and LOVE Jillian Michaels, I see results and she's amazing!

On the days I do a DVD this little man usually takes interest, at lease for a while.

 Warming up and Stretching out!

Time for some lunging jumps.  Isaac thought this was great. He climbed right under me and start to move his arms and legs, good effort buddy!

Then, when i least expected it, he got up and grabbed my face! Thanks for the encouragement Pal, just what I needed to finish the workout.

Notice the toys on the floor! Between those and Isaac running around I have to dodge some things or adjust my angle of working out.  Either way, I love to get a workout in early, now I'm done and I have all day to chill with my little man.

It should be noted that this started out as a beautiful moment and ended in tears when Daddy left for work.  Isaac sat by the window and cried for the last 6 minutes of my workout!! At least parts of it was enjoyable!

Happy Friday!

18 month Check up

Isaac has his 18 month check up this past week, here are his stats:

Weight: 25lbs 2oz (I swear he weighs WAY more than that!)  66 percentile

Height: 34 inch (up from 31in at his 15 month check up, that's an inch a month) 85 percentile

Head: 19 inch-80 percentile

Our little bunting is getting way to big!

A little piece of home

The best part of living in PA is being closer to my family! It still a 6 hour day of travel, but by car, which can happen much more often than by plane (from AZ).  We went on a mini-vacation to MA and then up to the lake.  We got to celebrate C's 2nd birthday, spend time with Nanny and enjoy the beautiful weather at the lake.  Here's a photo dump of sorts!

"Momo"

 A favorite picture of mine.

Yes, I let him have an entire chocolate cake and no I wasn't even sitting next to him
The pic below is a result of his run in with the cc!

Minus the fuzziness, can that face be any cuter?

Evening snack on the porch with "Boobeebee"

The pictures above make my heart happy.  I love camp more than most place, everything seems to slow down when you are there.  I don't take my cell phone with me anywhere, there is no computer to use for internet and camp doesn't even have a phone.  It's the perfect place to step back in time: candy store, bingo, frog races...can it get much better?!

Below is a pic that makes my heart soar! At almost 89 years old, Nana is an amazing Great Grandmother to Isaac.  She would spend all day on the floor with him and not complain once.  We're really blessed that Isaac knows her so well and gets to spend such special time with her!

Way to go, Buffalo

Austin and Isaac made a trip to Buffalo a few weeks back.  I must say, I was impressed that Austin was willing to fly with Isaac alone, and have him for four days straight! Isaac was so excited to see Great Aunts and Uncles and his Gigi.  Plus, he got to see his favorite Papa!!! They had a blast and I got a little rest!
