Personality and then some

We ran into this lady, this sweet sweet 88 year old Lady, while walking around Peddlers Village.  Here's the story:

Isaac and I were headed up the hill to the toy store, when this women, who's friend had locked herself out of the car and was watching AAA try and open the doors for her, was sitting and started chatting to us as we walked by.  I can't remember now what she said, but all the sudden, I is right next to her, she's picked him up and they're getting their photo take by her daughter (which didn't bother me one bit!)

Anyway, she went on to kiss him multiple times, put him down and pick him back up and give him lots of cuddles.  Isaac doesn't normally take to strangers so well, but on this day, with her personality, he was hooked.  He loved her as much as she loved him.

Her name escapes me now, but she'll forever be a store in our hearts.  I'm so glad our paths crossed, she makes my heart happy.

I only hope to have her spunk, love and personality when I'm 88.  I mean look at her face, she's present with pure joy!

Smelling the flowers and a photo shoot...

I'm reminded often, with a little one, to stop and smell the flowers.  Thanks for keeping things simple Isaac and for the good life lesson.

While my Mom was in a shop (that Isaac would break WAY to many things in) I decided to take a the opportunity to take a few 18 month photos of Isaac.  Of course, we needed a little yoga to get things going.

I just love this munchkin and can't believe he's already 18 months (actually closer to 19 at this point).  Where did the last year and a half go? I'm blessed and I Thank God that I can be home with him to capture such sweet moments and see him grow into his own little person.

Mini and limited Family Photo Shoot

We have yet to have family photos taken.  I've asked my sister to take some of us over Labor Day, and I can't wait. She just got a new camera, so I know she'll be just as excited as I am.  Anyway, we have a few free minutes and the park was just about empty, so I asked my mom to be our photographer! I suggested she just snap and snap, and I could edit later.  I love how these turned out, but just realized they are all of our back!

Oh well, better than no family photos. Plus I do love a good candid shot.

I stand corrected, here's one of our face too!!

One less thing...

I can check off another place to see in PA, Peddlers Village.

I grew up going to Peddlers Village.  You know when you have a memory of a place in your head, and then you get there, sometimes it just isn't the same!

That said, I must say, I was slightly disappointed in this trip.  Well, not the trip itself, but the kids area.  The pictures online made it look more like a museum and children's place, rather than just a trip with stuff in it.  Either way, Isaac had a good time, which in the end was what mattered.

Other than the play area, we did have a great time having lunch, walking around the store, completing a mini-18 month photo shoot for Isaac and meeting the most precious 88 year old Lady (more on all of that!)

Liberty Bell and Independence Hall

Crossing things off our PA list with a visit to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Our list is super long, with a million different things to do and see while living in PA.  I was glad we finally got up the gusto to go into Philly and see these two things.

Is any trip really complete without a yoga pose?

My little Chef

Nana, Isaac's Great Grandmother, made him with cute Elmo apron, complete with a tag that reads "homemade with love from nana".  This is a gift that is priceless and precious, something I'll cherish long after Isaac can fit into it.

Thanks Nanny! We love you and can't wait to start cooking!

Sabrina's Cafe and The Italian Market

My Mom is such a do-er, and has always encouraged me to get up and take on the day! So, when she comes to visit, it's no surprise that we try something new and visit places that have been on my list of weeks.  This time, it was breakfast at Sabrina's (recommended by my sister) and a walk down The Italian Market.

Breakfast was AMAZING!! All the specials were named after Olympians, which was cute and catchy.  And oh, so yummy.  They gave you enough food to carry you over until dinner, if need be.  This little guy sat still most of the time. Thankfully, when foods involved he's usually pretty good!

We decided to burn off breakfast with a walk through The Italian Market. I must say, it was cute and cozy, but being Sunday morning and the fresh markets out, the smell wasn't the best.  our walk didn't last long, but I got a few good shots in, so it was worth it!

No stroller for this kiddo, he's all about walking, ALL THE TIME!
