Lunch date...on the Stoop

We have a perfect little stoop outside on our front patio.  Often when it rains, I take Isaac out there to sit, watch and enjoy the view.  Twice now, we've had a dinner/lunch date out there.

Today was one of those unplanned days, where you have nothing to do (ok, really, when do you have nothing to do with a 19 month old, laundry needed to be put away, dishes washed and the bathrooms cleaned, but really that's all over rated when you can slow down and have a lunch date instead!)

Let me re-phrase that, I had nothing planned for our day.  After a workout with a friend, I and I hit up the grocery store for a few things.  I wanted a salad and thought it would be perfect for Isaac too.

It wasn't until I was bringing the groceries in the house (looking at the counter with piled up dishes) that I decided we should have a lunch date outside on the stoop.  I asked I if he wanted to join me, he gratefully said "yest" and out we went.

The View really was perfect, I mean, maybe not that cars in the parking lot, but that little boy, priceless!!

Isaac shared my salad, eating most of the pasta, tomatoes and broccoli. He's such a great eater, I'm so thankful for that!

Then we had a mini photo shoot, cause that's what you do after lunch on the stoop, right?!

Side note: I realize his hat says Bills (his Daddy's favorite team) and I'm surprisingly ok with that, mainly because I also know I'll be ordering PATS gear soon...GO PATS!

After lunch, Isaac went over to visit the little scarecrow that lives next door.  You can't just go and visit, you must also give hugs while you're there.  And if hugs are enough, maybe the scarecrow is hungry and wants some bread too!

And so they share bread.  This little boy can have such a precious and sweet heart when he wants to, on his terms, when he's not being told what to do.  I love him for that. I love his nature, his desire to love others and his sweet sweet soul.  I'm so blessed to be home with him everyday, even on the hard days.  Lunch on the stoop always makes things better!

Love you baby bunting, and don't ever forget it. Until our next date...xo

Friends

Isaac has found himself a friend. He LOVES spending time with Evie and so do I, well not just Evie (although I must say, she gives the BEST hugs) but her Mama too, Miss. Natalie.  We've been hanging out the last few weeks and enjoy having each other to chat with, workout with and for playdates too.  These two just love each other...

Personality and then some

We ran into this lady, this sweet sweet 88 year old Lady, while walking around Peddlers Village.  Here's the story:

Isaac and I were headed up the hill to the toy store, when this women, who's friend had locked herself out of the car and was watching AAA try and open the doors for her, was sitting and started chatting to us as we walked by.  I can't remember now what she said, but all the sudden, I is right next to her, she's picked him up and they're getting their photo take by her daughter (which didn't bother me one bit!)

Anyway, she went on to kiss him multiple times, put him down and pick him back up and give him lots of cuddles.  Isaac doesn't normally take to strangers so well, but on this day, with her personality, he was hooked.  He loved her as much as she loved him.

Her name escapes me now, but she'll forever be a store in our hearts.  I'm so glad our paths crossed, she makes my heart happy.

I only hope to have her spunk, love and personality when I'm 88.  I mean look at her face, she's present with pure joy!

Smelling the flowers and a photo shoot...

I'm reminded often, with a little one, to stop and smell the flowers.  Thanks for keeping things simple Isaac and for the good life lesson.

While my Mom was in a shop (that Isaac would break WAY to many things in) I decided to take a the opportunity to take a few 18 month photos of Isaac.  Of course, we needed a little yoga to get things going.

I just love this munchkin and can't believe he's already 18 months (actually closer to 19 at this point).  Where did the last year and a half go? I'm blessed and I Thank God that I can be home with him to capture such sweet moments and see him grow into his own little person.

Mini and limited Family Photo Shoot

We have yet to have family photos taken.  I've asked my sister to take some of us over Labor Day, and I can't wait. She just got a new camera, so I know she'll be just as excited as I am.  Anyway, we have a few free minutes and the park was just about empty, so I asked my mom to be our photographer! I suggested she just snap and snap, and I could edit later.  I love how these turned out, but just realized they are all of our back!

Oh well, better than no family photos. Plus I do love a good candid shot.

I stand corrected, here's one of our face too!!

One less thing...

I can check off another place to see in PA, Peddlers Village.

I grew up going to Peddlers Village.  You know when you have a memory of a place in your head, and then you get there, sometimes it just isn't the same!

That said, I must say, I was slightly disappointed in this trip.  Well, not the trip itself, but the kids area.  The pictures online made it look more like a museum and children's place, rather than just a trip with stuff in it.  Either way, Isaac had a good time, which in the end was what mattered.

Other than the play area, we did have a great time having lunch, walking around the store, completing a mini-18 month photo shoot for Isaac and meeting the most precious 88 year old Lady (more on all of that!)

He LOVES riding in these cars..just loves it...with or without the movement
